The whole of Italy, and Rimini especially, should be explored slowly in order to discover its many simple, yet intense flavours, and its evocative countryside.
Traditional local products of the Rimini area:
Rimini is a precious shrine that harbours flavours, evocative atmospheres, ancient crafts, and local culture. Traditional Italian food is a significant feature it has to offer.
Extra virgin olive oil, formaggio di fossa (cheese matured underground), salamis and hams, a variety of dairy products, renowned wines, pasta and meat dishes, honey and typical cakes, are all traditional Italian products.
 “Piadina” (unleavened flat bread): when in Rimini, trying a real piadina is a must. The origins of piadina are really ancient. It used to serve as bread and was also employed as a form of payment.
Oily fish
Fish has always been an integral part of a healthy diet. Oily fish in particular, is very tasty and rich in healthy properties such as “omega 3 fatty acids” that help to keep us healthy and fit! The Adriatic Sea is rich in oily fish: mackerel, mullet, squill, sardines, and yellow gurnard, which are cooked in many flavoursome ways.
